By titrating an acid solution with a standardized base, it is possible to determine the molarity of the acid solution. With the materials in this kit and common labware, students prepare a standardized sodium hydroxide solution with potassium acid phthalate and use it to determine the molarity of the unknown solution given. A pH indicator or a pH meter can be used to determine the end point of the titration. The investigation can be performed in one hour and comes with enough materials for 15 setups. A drying oven or desiccator, required, and pH meter, optional, are all available separately. Note: Additional shipping fee required.
