Tough, simple, and easy to use, the Brownlee form electrolysis apparatus is a favorite for student laboratory work. A nonconducting support (with nickel-plated binding posts) secure two inverted test tubes and two large platinum electrodes that are attached to insulated connecting rods. This assembly, in turn, is suspended from the beveled rim of a sturdy, cylindrical glass battery jar. Furnished with support, test tubes and platinum electodes-with or without one quart battery jar.
