This low-cost digital melting point apparatus provides high accuracy measurements for two capillary tubes simultaneously and programmable heating rates to speed the determination. Insert the samples into the machine, preheat to a set point slightly below the expected melting point, and then start a slow heating rate of 2 °C per minute to determine the actual melting point. Unit operates on 120VAC/60 Hz and has folding legs to tilt the unit for easier viewing. Temperature accuracy is ±1% of temperature displayed.
