Unique magnetic visuals will help you show students the chemical structure of DNA. Units adhere to magnetic boards and magnetic dry-erase systems. You begin by cutting out the parts with a pair of scissors. As you will see, the guanine unit will only attach to a cytosine unit. An adenine unit will only attach to a thymine (or uracil) unit. The ribose sugar rings will fit into the open ends of the bases just as in a DNA molecule. The phosphate groups are used to connect adjoining ribose units together.
