Students are used to seeing voltage induced by a coil of wire spun in a magnetic field; now let them see how a solid disk can produce the same results. Potential difference is induced as a 15 cm copper disk is spun through a pair of strong magnets. A multimeter that can measure in the mV range is required, not included.
