By timing the temperature changes of the two water baths in this set and measuring the dimensions of the bars, you can estimate the thermal conductivity of the bar material. You can also show students there is a dramatic change in temperature even though the two samples are never mixed. The two 250mL containers in this set are fitted with insulating lids.
