An open flame to heat the ComboStill is not always advisable and a hot plate wastes lots of heat. This aluminum heat concentrator fits over the ComboStill, supports the still and provides even heat to the vial of oil that heats the reactants. There is no need to use the ComboPlate™ and support rod when this heating block is used, as the ComboStill is safely supported by the block. When the experiment is done, simply remove the ComboStill assembly from the block and put it on the support rod to cool.
