This experiment introduces students to the principles, practice and applications of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). This simulation experiment does not contain human DNA and does not require a thermal cycler. Note: The PCR process is covered by patents owned by Hoffman-LaRoche Inc. Reagents for six gels „ two to four students per gel. Includes instructions. Required but not included: horizontal cell, power supply, water bath, standard glassware, hot gloves, distilled or deionized water. Highly recommended: staining tray package, visible light box, automatic micropipet.
