PCR Based Identification of Foodstuffs from GMOs Kit


Apply biotechnology techniques to agricultural applications and consumer science with this lab activity. Some foods, like tofu and soymilke, contain raw materials from genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Currently, there are no requirements to specific which foods contain raw materials obtained from GMO, so this PCR-based experiments leads students through the identification of GMO soybean in food. For ten student groups. Note: Shipped ambient. Some components require -20º freezer storage upon receipt.
