Dramatic, colorful tests help students better understand pH and its relationship to acids and bases, and its effect on indicators and dyes. Students also use a mixture of indicators to create a specific color chart which is then used to identify the pH of unknown solutions. Materials are furnished in spill-proof bottles and are premixed to save time. The kit contains seven drop bottles of buffered solutions (one each at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 pH); one drop bottle each of methyl orange, bromothymol blue, phenolphthalein and universal indicator and three drop bottles of unknown solutions.
