This is recommended as a first kit for those just getting started with electrophoresis. Demonstrates the basic procedures of agarose gel electrophoresis, including: gel casting, loading samples, and actual separation. Colored dyes having different charge properties are used to show the various rates of mobility during electrophoresis. Reagents for six gels „ two to four students per gel. Includes instructions. Required, but not included: horizontal cell, power supply, microwave or hot plate, balance, standard glassware, distilled or deionized H20. Highly recommended: visible lightbox, automatic micropipet to deliver 40 {mu lower case}l.
