A map of space as seen from the earth is depicted on this transparent globe, made of strong 0.26" thick acrylic plastic with exclusive “color coded” design for ease in reading. Stars are identified and their magnitudes indicated.
Nebulae, constellations, multiple and variable stars are included. A calibrated internal horizon ring, meridian circle and celestial equator permit objects to be located in the altitude-azimuth and right ascension-declination coordinate systems.
The earth globe is a 6" transparent sphere located inside the celestial sphere, and has the continental areas and principal terrestrial coordinate scales on it.
As the sun ball inside the globe is moved along the ecliptic, the attached arcs circumscribe the starfield for any date and hour. Includes illustrated study manual.
