Raoult’s Law states that vapor pressure decreases proportionately with the number of molecules of solute dissolved in a given weight of solvent. With the materials in this kit, students follow this law as they conduct an experiment to determine the vapor pressure of a solution of water and sodium chloride. The experiment can be completed in one hour and comes with enough materials for 15 setups.
